OUR PHILOSOPHY

Crossroads Kids Connection (CKC) is an early childhood education center focused on helping families raise children rooted in faith, growing in kindness, and learning through everyday experiences.

 

OUR HISTORY

CKC was formed as a ministry of the Crossroads Community Church in 2007. After doing a local survey of the community needs, the church's founding pastors, Jim and Aileen Playter sought to provide childcare for the families of Johnson Creek and the surrounding areas in a severely underserved market.

Since then, we have been privileged to serve more than 100 families from Jefferson, Dodge, Dane, and Waukesha counties.  We started out as a class of 5 children at our first campus on River Dr. and have since grown to 6 classrooms at our new facility in the old high school.

Since 2007, we have provided all of our children with opportunities for learning, growth, and love.  We have worked in conjunction with the local school district to prepare our preschoolers for 4K and Kindergarten. We have also provided 4K classroom space for the school district. We've been involved in community activities such as the community Christmas tree lighting and face painting at the summer festivals. Our staff and children enjoy being highly involved in the community.

As we look towards the future, we are excited to continue our partnership with our community and the school district to provide quality care for the children in our community and surrounding areas for years to come.

CHILD SAFETY

The safety of the children is our top priority. We take every precaution to ensure the daily safety of every child. Every adult working with our children is given a careful background check and thorough training. All of our teachers complete regular training for:

• CPR

• First Aid

• SIDS

• SBS (AHT)

• Fire Safety

 

Our on-site play area is a fenced-in and safe area for all ages.
