CURRICULUM OVERVIEW
At CKC, our goal is to teach children about Jesus while fostering development in all areas. Our curriculum integrates lessons that support physical and motor skills, social and emotional growth, language, and cognitive development. Each class builds its curriculum around four of The Crossroads Eight Big Ideas:
1. God Made Me
2. God Loves Me
3. Jesus Wants to Be My Friend Forever
4. The Bible is the Source of All Truth
These foundational truths guide our teaching and help children understand who they are and how they relate to the world around them. We strive to create a nurturing environment where every child feels valued and loved.
Classroom Rules
To create a safe and loving environment, all of our classrooms follow five basic rules:
1. Be kind to friends.
2. Be nice to teachers.
3. Respect the room and the toys.
4. Follow directions.
5. Be safe because we love you!
These simple, yet essential rules help children learn kindness, respect, and responsibility, making CKC a place where everyone can thrive.
Conscious Discipline
In 2024, we implemented Conscious Discipline to enhance our approach to social-emotional learning, discipline, and self-regulation. This program helps us focus less on policing behavior and more on teaching vital life skills. Through this integration, we aim to create a positive and supportive learning environment where children can develop the tools they need for lifelong success.

At CKC, we are dedicated to providing a well-rounded, Christ-centered education that prepares children to grow and thrive.
